  • Mini Plush Lops are: HYPOALLERGENIC, MINIATURE, and LOP-EARED Come and hold one of these remarkable creatures. But BEWARE - they have a SuperPower = they BOND quickly with humans!

  • Mini Rex are called "The VELVETEEN Bunnies" They are also MINIATURE and have fur to die for. Mini breeds only grow to 3 1/2 to 4 pounds as adults.

  • Two Silver Foxes are looking for their BFFs. This breed has a really cool nickname:  "The TEDDY BEARS of Bunnies," and it's true. Considered a rare breed with only 5,000 left globally.

Cool Facts

Rabbits are NOT NOCTURNAL, they sleep at night. Rather, they are CREPUSCULAR, meaning they are active at DAWN & DUSK!
Rabbit poop is amazing fertilizer for the garden! It's called cold manure and it doesn't need to be composted,. It can be used immediately. Also, BTW, if you step in it there's no mess like cat or dog poop.
Rabbit TEETH never stop growing. That's why they need things to chew on. Unlike human teeth, you can snip off a part of their tooth and it will grow back
Rabbits cannot VOMIT. Whatever they eat needs to go through their system and be pooped out. That's why certain things like celery are bad. It's stringy and will cause diarrhea.
Most domestic rabbits have their origins in Europe or Asia and they are of the Order Lagomorpha  so we call them Lagomorphs. And they are of the Family Leporidae.

FAMILY - Leporidae

Interestingly, they are a different Species than the wild rabbits we have in America. They are called Cottontails. So if they breed together there will be no offspring.
Here's a mnemonic way to remember the scientific categories:

DO - Domain
KEEP - Kingdom
PONDS - Phylum
CLEAN - Class
OR - Order
FROGS - Family
GET - Genus
SICK - Species
A male rabbit is called a BUCK. Usually a buck will mate with 3 to 5 does, and he has nothing to do with raising the kits. If he were human we'd called him a "dead-beat" dad! However, the moms are not interested in child support, they can handle the babies fine until they are weaned at 5 weeks old. Then they are happy when they leave.
